Josh Williams In The News 2006!Trophy Collector Josh Williams is not a typical 12 year-old kid who spends his time in front of a television or with the controls of a video game in his hands. No, the Port Charlotte, Florida, resident is already a veteran racer, having competed for seven years and accumulated enough trophies that he can barely fit them into an average-sized bedroom.
For eight months of the year, Josh and his dad, kevin, and mom, Terry, travel all over the eastern half of the country so Josh can pursue his dream of eventually reaching the top level of NASCAR. He competes in Bandoleros at Lowe's Motor Speedway in the Hardee's Summer Shootout for 10 Tuesdays each summer; then the family heads to Atlanta Motor Speedway on Thursdays for more action.
Late during the '05 racing season, Josh competed in the Summer National Bandoleros Championship in Nashville, Tennessee, and earned a First-Place trophy, which was actually a custom guitar. Josh and his parents have a definite plan for the future. In addition to two Bandoleros, Josh has two legends Cars, a Chevy Fastruck, and a Late Model.
